This earthquake, as so many lately, has been totally devasting to the folks who live there. That is true, no matter what their race, color, creed, religion or politics. I set up these informative blogs, to help out the people who are suffering and those helping to ease that suffering. I do not adhere to the politics or religion of any given disaster. No matter what country or what government claims the devestated area, no matter who "their God" is, one thing remains constant-these are people that are suffering...these are people who need our help.
We so often speak of the world as one, brotherly love, help thy neighbor, reap what you sow, and so on and so forth. Ask yourself, do you really live by any of those? Do you actually live by the words you so often speak? Whom have you helped today? Yesterday? Last week? Who will you help out tomorrow? Even with just a kind word and a smile or wave. I can answer all of those questions easily. I help those folks in disaster areas to perhaps, just perhaps, have life a little bit better by the actions I take today. I volunteer my time to those folks who so dearly need our, the worlds, help. One day you may just find your self and your family in need of someones kind and giving efforts, disasters can and do happen everywhere in this world...my family and I were affected , not once, but twice and I will never forget...and I will continue to give.
Thanks,
Leesa Astredo
